In Conversation with Amy Peters
In this conversation, Sam Crapnell is joined by Amy Peters, author of Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy (2026), to explore what it means to work in a neurodivergent-affirming way.
Amy introduces her DIVERSE model offering a framework for practitioners to think beyond adaptations and accommodations and invites us to consider the assumptions that sit underneath our therapeutic practice.
The conversation explores individual ways of being, the importance of curiosity and what can happen when we begin to question some of our established ideas about how therapy looks.
This conversation is particularly relevant for counsellors, phsycotherapists, trainess and other helping professionals interested in developing thoughtful, relational and genuinely neurodivergent affirming practice.
For those of you who like rewards for listening, there is a three-question quiz embedded into the end of this video.
